Sapporo Chitose Airport (CTS) is Hokkaido’s largest airport and handles both regional international flights from China, Hong Kong, South Korea & Taiwan as well as domestic flights from airports across Japan.
Hokkaido Resort Liner is a great value bus service offering both a Chitose Airport to Furano bus for arrival and a Furano to Chitose Airport bus for departure.
The service is fairly convenient with meeting locations in the Domestic and International terminal buildings and buses picking up on site.
The Chitose Airport to Furano bus is direct with no changes of vehicle required and a comfort break provided along the way.
The transfer time varies between 2.25 and 2.5 hours depending on road and weather conditions.
The last bus from Chitose to Furano is not late enough for the latest scheduled flight arrivals. Similarly, the earliest bus from Furano to Chitose Airport is not early enough to service early flight departures. So, if you want to take the bus, please check the bus timetable before booking your flights.
Buses drop off all over the Furano area, so whether you are staying in Kitanomine, Shin Furano or Furano Town, bus services are an option open to you.

Furano to Chitose Airport Timetable
- For arrival transfers, domestic flights must be scheduled to arrive a minimum of 45 minutes prior to the bus departure time. International flights must be scheduled to arrive a minimum of 90 minutes prior to the bus departure time.
- For departure transfers, bus transfers must be booked to arrive at the airport 90 minutes prior to departure for domestic flights and 120 minutes prior to departure for international flights.
- Chitose Airport to Furano service runs from 1st December 2023 to 30th March 2024
- Furano to Chitose Airport service runs from 3rd December 2023 to 1st April 2024
- Please arrive at the meeting location 15 minutes prior to the departure time of your bus.

Book Bus Transfers
We are currently only able to book transfers for guests who have already booked accommodation with Samurai Snow.
If you submit a booking request and have not already booked accommodation with Samurai Snow, we will do our best to respond to your enquiry but this will not always be possible.
For Chitose Airport to Furano Bus Transfers, Domestic flights must be scheduled to arrive a minimum of 45 minutes prior to the bus departure time. International flights must be scheduled to arrive a minimum of 90 minutes prior to the bus departure time.
For Furano to Chitose Airport Bus Transfers, Bus transfers must be booked to arrive at the airport 90 minutes prior to departure for domestic flights and 120 minutes prior to departure for international flights.
Booking Process
1) In the booking window below, please fill out the Add To Order section as many times as required to add all of the transfers you need for your group.
2) Start by selecting the date of the transfer, then select the bus departure time you wish to book and finally your group's flight details.
3) When you have finished adding all of the transfers you need, scroll down within the booking form window and check the details of your order in the My Order section.
4) Fill in your details in the "About me" section, including entering your 5 digit confirmation number in the "customer reference number" section. This number was provided to you when you booked your accommodation with Samurai Snow.
5) Click on the Send Inquiry button.
6) We will contact you by email with payment instructions once your booking request is confirmed
Payment & Cancellation Terms
Payment
- Full payment via the booking portal is required to complete the booking
Cancellation
- 75 or more days in advance of the transfer date: 25% cancellation fee applies
- Within 75 days of the transfer date: 100% cancellation fee
- "Cancellation" includes changes that reduce the overall value of the booking.
* Refunds are made in Japanese Yen. The amount that you receive in your home currency may differ from the amount you paid in your home currency due to exchange rate fluctuations.
