Make the most of your time in the Furano area and have the best experience on the mountain by improving your ability with a private ski or snowboard lesson.
A privately instructed lesson lets you go one-on-one or in small private groups of up to 5 per instructor.
They tailor the day to either discover a new sport, improve your skills and technique, gain confidence on piste or in powder & explore more of the mountain to make the most of your time with them.

Lessons in Furano provided by Furano Snow School
Whiteroom and Furano Snow School (FSS) have partnered to provide the best possible private lesson experience.
Known for its concierge services, Whiteroom will provide packaged accommodation pick up and drop off with on snow lessons being provided by Furano Snow School.
Furano Snow School is an offical affiliated ski school at Furano Ski Resort allowing you the peace of mind to make the most of your time on the mountain and ensuring that you have the best experience possible.
Whiteroom’s door to snow service gives you the flexibility you need to relax and enjoy on your snow holiday.
Together they offer a premium private lessons product for individuals or small groups of up to five. Their instructors tailor each session to your needs, whether you’re looking to try a new sport, refine your skills, build confidence on the slopes or in powder, or explore more of the mountain.

Lessons
Full Day Private Lesson - taught by Furano Snow Sports
Opt for a full day private lesson at Furano ski area with an accommodation pick up & drop off service (provided by Whiteroom) or meet on the snow.
- Can start between 08:00 and 10:00 and must finish on snow by 15:00
Full Day Travel Private Lesson - taught by Whiteroom
Want to enjoy a lesson in another ski area? Opt for a day trip with a Whiteroom instructor to Kamui, Tomamu or Sahoro.
- Can start between 08:00 and 10:00 and must finish on snow by 15:00
- Transport from Furano to Kamui, Tomamu or Sahoro and back included
Half Day 4 Hour AM Private Lesson - taught by Furano Snow Sports
Full day too much? Opt for a half day at Furano ski area.
- Can start between 08:00 and 10:00 and must finish on snow by 12:00
- Accommodation pick up & drop off service provided by Whiteroom
PM 2 Hour Private Lesson - taught by Furano Snow Sports
Don’t like mornings? Opt for a half day afternoon lesson at Furano ski area.

Inclusions
Instructional days include:
- Your own qualified instructor
- Furano area accommodation pick-up/drop-off (8-10am / 4-6pm) and transportation to the resort of choice. PM lesson is meet on snow 1pm start - drop off back to your accommodation only.
- Flat rate – maximum of 5 clients per instructor / mininum age is 5 years old
Instructional days do not include:
- Lift passes
- Ski or Snowboard equipment
- Assurances on the day's weather
- Accommodation pick up from areas other than Furano. Extra charges will apply for additional travel.
Note
If you booked a certain ski resort and the lifts are shut that day they will offer up another resort. If all available resort options are closed they will try to reschedule another day (if available), or offer you a full refund
Central Hokkaido Ski Resorts
Furano
Furano has some of the best quality snow in Hokkaido all season long. With terrain to suit all abilities from long wide groomers to great tree skiing.
From the resort you have spectacular views up the valley lined by the mountains in Daisetsuzan National Park (meaning great snowy mountains) on a clear day.
Furano delivers an authentic Japanese countryside town experience with restaurants/bars owned and enjoyed by the locals.
Furano is where Whiteroom began so it’s a favourite on our must ski or ride list.
Tomamu
Boasting 29 fantastic groomed runs for beginners to experts set among the beautiful trees and mountains.
Tomamu also offers skiers and boarders an awesome park and off-piste section which is roped off from the rest of the crowd.
Coupled with a 50 metre wave pool plus indoor/outdoor onsen and an array of quality restaurants, Tomamu really strikes a cord with everyone who visits.
An extremely user and family friendly resort.
Sahoro
Located in a similar direction and time frame as Tomamu from Furano, Sahoro feels like your private ski resort on most days.
With long groomed trails for all abilities and some lovely gladed tree areas, Sahoro is the perfect area to improve your technique while experiencing another of Central Hokkaido’s quality resorts.
Kamui Ski Links
One of Hokkaido’s best ski areas, located just outside Asahikawa and 1hour from Furano.
Kamui offers beautiful long wide groomers perfect for all abilities, along with great off piste areas from intermediate to advanced.
Combined with very little crowds, great snow and lots of blue bird weather days, there is something here for everyone.

Payment
- Full payment via the booking portal is required to complete the booking
Cancellation
- 21 days or more prior to the tour date: 0% cancellation fee - payment is refunded* in full
- 20 days or fewer prior to the tour date: 100% cancellation fee (payment is non-refundable)
- "Cancellation" includes changes that reduce the overall value of the booking.
* Refunds are made in Japanese Yen. The amount that you receive in your home currency may differ from the amount you paid in your home currency due to exchange rate fluctuations.

Winter service bookings are strictly reserved for guests who have booked their accommodation directly through Samurai Snow.
If you have a confirmed accommodation booking, please enter your Samurai Snow Reservation Details below. We will email you direct access to our booking portal along with step-by-step booking instructions.
Booking Lead Time: We are unable to accept or process bookings submitted 7 days or fewer before the start date. Please submit your request at least 8 days in advance.
Please Note: Submissions without a valid Samurai Snow Accommodation Reservation Number cannot be processed. If you have not booked accommodation with us, please book your lessons directly through local resort vendors.
