Hanazono Overview
On the North-East face of the mountain, the Hanazono ski resort is the quietest of the four Niseko United ski resorts.
With the addition of the Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono resort hotel opening its doors in 2020, the Hanazono base area has been transformed into a luxury destination ski resort.
The Park Hyatt provides everything expected of a modern ski in / ski out resort hotel including 11 restaurants, lounges & bars, shopping, onsen, swimming pool, jacuzzi, spa, fitness centre & ski valet service.
Hanazono is perfect for families with ski school, ski hire, winter adventure park, Galazy of Kidz soft play and snow mobile tours all provided on site.
For visitors seeking a stay in a secluded forest hideaway, the ultra-modern Meikeikyo is an excellent choice, located 15 minutes’ walk from the ski lifts.
Hanazono is well suited to a more peaceful setting for your Niseko winter holiday.

Hanazono Ski Resort
One half of the Grand Hirafu Ski Resort (Hirafu + Hanazono), beginners are well catered for on the Hanazono side with the excellent NISS ski school, Magic Carpet learning area and the gentle Juicy Fruit beginner course serviced by the Hanazono Symphony Gondola terrain.
Hanazono’s intermediate red runs are quieter than those in neighbouring Hirafu. Staying at Hanazono has its advantage for powderhounds wanting fast access to fantastic tree skiing and open powder bowls that Hanazono provides.
Guaranteed fresh lines can be had by booking a guiding tour with Hanazono Powder Guides by way of their First Tracks service starting at 07:30 before the lifts open.
Dining & Nightlife
The Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono offers gourmet delights with the freshest ingredients in one of the 11 restaurants, lounges, and bars, including robata, teppan, Italian and Chinese.
The stunning floor to ceiling glass Hanazono Edge building and the Café Hanazono 308 offer lunch options at the base of the ski lifts.
Pro Tip: Take a taxi or bus into Kutchan town (5 mins drive away) to explore and enjoy authentic local dining
Hanazono is family-oriented and does not offer much in the way of lively nightlife. However, neighbouring Hirafu village does offer a huge range of dining and nightlife options and can be reached via shuttle bus services operated between the two villages or local taxi.

Onsen

Alternatively, combine a trip to an onsen with dinner in neighbouring Hirafu, Kutchan Town or venture further afield out to Annupuri and beyond for the best onsen in the area.
