Celebrating a century since opening the Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort, the Nozawa Snowsports School proudly continues to spread the joy of skiing and snowboarding to those new to the sport, as well as helping old hands develop their techniques.
For international guests, they have a team of professional international instructors from around the world.
Make the most of your time on the slopes with a private lesson. For private lessons you pay for the instructor, not per participant.
You can have up to eight participants in one class for the same price as one participant. This is the BEST way to improve fast with more time working on your skills.
Whether you are a first timer or an experienced skier looking to improve on technique or get rid of bad habits we have an instructor that will suit your needs.
Instructors are limited so it is recommended to make a booking well in advance.

Intro to Snow: Private Lessons for Kids Under 7 years old (Ski & Snowboard)
This one-hour private lesson is the perfect introduction to skiing or snowboarding for your little one. Designed specifically for children under 7, it’s all about getting familiar with the equipment, learning the basics, and building confidence on the snow.
Rather than focusing on fast progression, this session is centered on creating a fun, safe, and supportive first experience. Helping kids feel comfortable and excited to come back for more

Payment
- Full payment required to book
Cancellation
- 21 days or more prior to the lesson start date: 0% cancellation fee (100% of the value of the booking is refunded*)
- 15 to 20 days prior to the lesson start date: 20% cancellation fee (80% of the value of the booking is refunded*)
- 8 to 14 days prior to the lesson start date: 30% cancellation fee (70% of the value of the booking is refunded*)
- Within 7 days of the lesson start date: 100% cancellation fee
- "Cancellation" includes changes that reduce the overall value of the booking.
* Refunds are made in Japanese Yen. The amount that you receive in your home currency may differ from the amount you paid in your home currency due to exchange rate fluctuations

Winter service bookings are strictly reserved for guests who have booked their accommodation directly through Samurai Snow.
If you have a confirmed accommodation booking, please enter your Samurai Snow Reservation Details below. We will email you direct access to our booking portal along with step-by-step booking instructions.
Booking Lead Time: We are unable to accept or process bookings submitted 7 days or fewer before the start date. Please submit your request at least 8 days in advance.
Please Note: Submissions without a valid Samurai Snow Accommodation Reservation Number cannot be processed. If you have not booked accommodation with us, please book your lessons directly through local resort vendors.
