Private Taxi Transfers are the most convenient and fastest option for transfer from a wide variety of pick up locations to Rusutsu with a variety of vehicle sizes offered.
Taxi Transfers are suitable for groups of any size with vehicle ranging from 2 person compact taxis to 30 person coach vehicles.
Whether you are coming from Chitose Airport (CTS), sightseeing in Sapporo, Otaru or Hakodate, or a stay at one of the other major Hokkaido Ski Resorts, private taxi transfers are a great stress free option.
Vehicle Types
A variety of vehicle sizes can be booked subject to availability.
How many people can each vehicle type transport?
This depends on how many pieces of luggage your group has, especially snow gear luggage items - ski or snowboard bags.
Groups
If you book a Cargo Van, your main transport vehicle will be transporting passengers only, which might mean you can book a smaller vehicle for your group.
If you book a HiAce Cargo, your main transport vehicle will be transporting passengers only and the HiAce Cargo can transport up to 2x passengers, which might mean you can book a smaller vehicle for your group.
Luxury
The New Luxury Van vehicle type are the latest high end models of Velvire or Alphard Model 40 vehicles and can transfer 2x passengers only with luggage. Featuring separate captain's seats with foot rests, own arm rests and reclining capability, the vehicles are extremely comfortable.
If you want luxury but need more space, the new HiAce Luxury model is the answer! It features four independant captain's chairs for unparalleled relaxation.

The price that you pay varies by travel date, route and vehicle type.
Standard Size Vehicles
Prices are based on a one way transfer between Rusutsu and the destination listed.
Late Night Surcharge fee is applied to arrivals and departures between 20:00 and 06:00
In addition to the destinations shown, transfers are available to / from a range of cities, ski resorts and popular sightseeing destinations, including Otaru, Asahikawa, Hakodate, Shin Hakodate Hokuto Station, Oshamambe Station, Iwanai Resort, Mt Asahidake, Tomamu, Sahoro, Nayoro Piyashiri, Lake Toya, Lake Shikotsu, Noboribetsu and Jozankei Onsen.
Large Group Vehicles
Large Group Vehicles and pick up / drop off at the following Rusutsu area locations only:

Chitose Airport Arrival Transfers
When booking arrival transfers from Chitose Airport, you can choose one of the following two options
- Immediate Departure Transfer - staff meet you at the arrival exit and you depart the airport straight away. Please note that waiting time after confirmed flight arrival time is limited to 30 minutes for domestic arrival and 60 minutes for international arrivals due to recently introduced Japanese regulations.
- Specified Meeting Time Transfer - staff meet you at the information desk near the arrival your preferred specified time, allowing you time do some shopping, dining etc at Chitose Airport before departing for Niseko
Multiple Flights
For group with members arriving on multiple flights, please book for the latest flight arrival time.
Chitose Airport Departure Transfers
For early morning flight, please be aware of the airport opening times and airline check-in start times
- Chitose Airport (CTS) - Opens at 05:00 / Closes at 23:00
- JAL Check-In - Starts from 06:30
- ANA Check-In - Starts from 06:30
Please ensure that you do not book a departure transfer that is likely to arrive at the airport significantly before Chitose Airport opens as there is no warm waiting area and the driver cannot wait after dropping you off.
Short Stops
Arrival Supermarket Stop
A supermarket shopping stopping service can be arranged on route for the following charges:
- Up to 30 minutes stop - JPY ¥6,000 per vehicle
- 30 to 60 minutes stop - JPY ¥10,000 per vehicle
This service needs to be booked and paid for in advance as part of your booking and is subject to availability in the schedule.
Check-In & Check-Out
For accommodation stays at properties without a staffed front desk, a short stop can be arranged en route:
- Arrival: at your check in location to pick up keys and complete a check-in procedure before proceeding to your accommodation: JPY ¥3,000 per vehicle
- Departure: If required, at your check out location to drop off keys and complete a check-out procedure: JPY ¥3,000 per vehicle
Fees should be paid directly to the driver in cash.
Child & Booster Seats
Child or booster seats are not legally required in Japan. If you wish to book a child seat, please let us know in your booking request and at least two weeks in advance of the travel date.
- Due to road conditions and other factors, a last minute change in the vehcile type used for your transfer may be necessary. In some of cases, it may not be possible to provide the child seat that you booked.
- Child & Booster seats cannot be used in large group vehicles (small bus, medium coach & coach).
Booking Terms
Payment
- Full payment via the booking portal is required to complete the booking
Changes & Cancellations
- Sky Station specialise in long distance travel and are not a local taxi company. As such they cannot make short notice changes to routes, times or vehicles are these are scheduled in advance.
- Changes include but are not limited to destination changes, date changes or meeting time changes of more than 30 minutes.
- All changes are subject to availability. Sky Station reserves the right to refuse changes after confirmation of the booking.
- Changes or Cancellations made within 21 days will usually incur a fee as follows:
- 21 or more days in advance of the transfer date: 0% fee applies
- 14 to 20 days in advance of the transfer date: 20% fee applies
- 7 to 13 days in advance of the transfer date: 30% fee applies
- 3 to 6 days in advance of the transfer date: 50% fee applies
- Within 3 days of transfer date: 100% fee applies
*Refunds are made in Japanese Yen. The amount that you receive in your home currency may differ from the amount you paid in your home currency due to exchange rate fluctuations.
Flight Delays
- If your flight is delayed due to weather conditions or airline scheduling, a one-hour grace period is provided. After 60 minutes, a waiting fee of ¥2,000 per hour will be applied.
- If the first of your connecting flights (not arriving into Chitose Airport) is delayed and you are put on a new flight number for your second flight arriving into Chitose Airport you must notify Sky Station of the new flight number either directly or through airline staff. Otherwise the transfer will remain booked for your arrival on your original flight number and you will be a no show.
Flight Cancellations
- Cancellations on the arrival day - if the flight is cancelled due to weather or mechanical issues, it will be treated as a no-show with no refund or reschedule. We recommend that you take out travel insurance to provide protection for this scenario.
- Cancellations the day before arrival - if notified, Sky Station will attempt to make a new arrangement for you. A re-scheduling fee of ¥10,000 per vehicle will be charged. However, this is subject to availability of vehicles and drivers.
Waiting Times
- Due to strict new Japanese laws governing the limits of driver's working hours, waiting times are limited.
- For all other transfer types except Immediate Departure Arrival Transfers, there is no charge for up to 10 minutes waiting time and then JPY ¥2,000 charge for every further 10 minutes wait up to a maximum of 30 minutes. After 30 minutes of waiting time, the driver will leave and will be treated as a no show.
Last Minute Bookings
- We kindly request that you book transfers as early as possible due to limited availability for short notice bookings.
- We are not able to book transfers 7 days or fewer before the transfer date.
Excess Luggage
- Guests are responsible to making arrangements for any luggage items that cannot fit in the vehicle booked.
- Please carefully check your chosen vehicle type's capacity when booking.
- If in doubt, please check with us if your group's luggage can fit in the vehicle type you plan to book.
Book Rusutsu Taxi Transfers
We are only able to book for guests who have already booked accommodation with Samurai Snow.
Please enter your Samurai Snow Reservation Number provided to you when you booked your accommodation in the form below and we will email booking instructions to you.
If you submit a booking request and have not already booked accommodation with Samurai Snow, we will do our best to respond to your enquiry but this will not always be possible.
What time should you get picked up for Rusutsu to Chitose Airport transfers?
When booking a departure transfer from Rusutsu to Chitose Airport, the transfer time is normally 2.5 hours but can be up to 3 hours in bad weather / driving conditions. We recommend booking a pick up time as follows:
- For Domestic Flights (within Japan): minimum 4 hours before your flight departure time
- For International Flights: minimum 5 hours before your flight departure time
- For Domestic Flights with an International Connecting Flight with the same airline: minimum 5 hours before your flight departure time
